Now, a list of all the people, places, and things Donald Trump has insulted on Twitter
NEW DELHI: By now, Donald Trump has insulted or criticized 281 people on Twitter, says an up-to-the-minutes list on The New York Times.
His targets include six countries, 23 media organizations, several members of his own party, and even a rock song 'Rocking' in the Free World.'
Here, for example, is what he once tweeted about Mexico.
Here's a tweet on Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton's rival in the Democratic primary elections, and Clinton herself.
And here's one of Trump's tweets about the leader of the Republican Party in the House of Representatives, one of the houses of the US legislature.
Trump is a man who once said he had "the best words," but some of the remarks in the Times' compilation have the sophistication typical of barbs and retorts exchanged on school playgrounds. "Goofy," "dopey," "dummy," "dummy dope," "perv," "clown," and "flunkie" (a yes-man) are a few examples.
And unsurprisingly, opponent Hillary Clinton has the dubious honour of having been named or referred to in a very large number of tweets. And the word he's used most frequently to described her? It's "crooked."
Trump's unique style of articulation was recently the object of much ridicule, when Twitter users used to hashtag #TrumpBookReport to parody comments he's made in past about several issues, including immigrants and the US election system, which he has suggested is rigged in favour of his opponent.
Mein Kampf. Tough on immigration. Tough on bankers. Tough on enemies. Make Germany Great Again. Great leader. My hero! #TrumpBookReport
This Dracula. An immigrant, a criminal, a bad hombre. I'd build a Transylvanian border wall & make vampires pay for it. #TrumpBookReport
